Teen Spinach

Original or wild spinach form is unknown. However, many authors claim that it comes from the Southwest Asia. The Arabs were who introduced spinach in Spain for the first time in the 11th century.

In the 15th and 16th centuries, its cultivation was spread across Europe, where countries such as Holland, England and France were the main consumers. Later it came to America, although it was not until the decades of 1920s when spinach managed to be popular, moment when its magnificent nutritional attributes were discovered.

At present, its cultivation is spread throughout the whole world. United States, Italy, France and Germany are its main producers.
