Blueberry is a small deciduous shrub up to 1 m in height, of green angular and straightened branches. The leaves are oval, alternate, coriaceas, light green or slight yellowish with finely toothed, deciduous edges and short petioles. The flowers are insignificant pink green with five petals and sepals, which are produced individually or in pairs of hanging brunches. The fruit is red or bluish black berry of pleasant and bittersweet taste.
